Vivo V80 Lite 5G Could Launch Soon in India: Expected Price, Top Features, And More

Vivo has not confirmed the India launch date of the V80 Lite 5G, but its recent Google Play listing and multiple certification appearances suggest that the launch could be close. The standard V80 has reportedly been delayed in India, raising the possibility that the Lite model may arrive first.

As for the price, there is no official figure yet. Current leaks and listings point to an expected price of around ₹29,000 to ₹36,000, with ₹28,999 appearing on one Indian listing, but the final price could differ depending on the RAM and storage variant.

The V80 Lite 5G has appeared on the Google Play Supported Devices list, Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG, TUV and Malaysia’s SIRIM certification database. These listings suggest that Vivo could announce the smartphone soon, although the company has not confirmed an India launch date yet.

Interestingly, the standard V80 model has reportedly been delayed in India following an alleged strategy change. This raises the possibility that Vivo could introduce the V80 Lite 5G ahead of the regular V80.

If the phone is indeed a rebranded Vivo S2, the V80 Lite could feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is also tipped to measure only around 7.39mm thick, making the combination of a large battery and slim body particularly interesting.

The phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. Other expected features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers and IP68/IP69-rated protection against dust and water.

Battery life could be one of the V80 Lite's biggest selling points. The suspected specifications point towards a 7,050mAh battery, while the Vivo S2's leaked specifications mention 44W FlashCharge support.

For photography, the phone could carry a 50MP Sony primary rear camera, accompanied by a secondary sensor, along with a 32MP front camera. These specifications are based on the suspected S2 connection and therefore remain unconfirmed for the V80 Lite.

There is currently no confirmed India price for the Vivo V80 Lite 5G. One international listing suggests a price around AED 1,099, roughly ₹28,500, for an 8GB+128GB variant, but this is not an India price and should not be treated as official.

The more important development is the possible Vivo S2 rebranding. Since the S2 itself has been positioned differently in India, Vivo could price the V80 Lite differently depending on the market. For now, buyers should wait for the company's official announcement before treating any leaked price as final.
